ASDA are changing their plans

October 19, 2011

News just in (well alright, about a week ago), is that ASDA are changing their plans for the proposed site, and are organising a special meeting through the Neighbourhood Forum. This is an excerpt from an email from the NF:

“We have been asked by Asda if we will arrange this meeting because of our network of contacts.

The meeting will start at 7.30pm in Stirchley community Church in Hazelwell Street, Stirchley [on Monday the 7th November].

Asda are altering their plans for the Arvin meritor site, and as there are lot of changes, they want to engage as many residents and traders as possible. So please come along, and see what they have to say.”

You heard it hear first. Well, probably second. And this has just been published on the Bournville Conservatives site giving some details about what the changes are:

“ASDA have now proposed that Mayfield Road would become a wide pedestrian entrance into the ASDA site and all road traffic to the supermarket would now enter via the entrance on Fordhouse Lane.”
