Another supermarket not needed in Stirchley

Lidl has put in another application. Please do comment and let your views be known via the planning portal.

SuperStirchley’s view is that another supermarket is not needed in this area. Lidl has benefited from a rise in land values – we think they should sell and let something that is needed by the community be built on this land.

There is a thriving independent scene that can extend out from Stirchey high street. And there is actual need for more school places, GPs, dentists and community facilities that serve more than shoppers.

Stand up for Stirchley and Selly Park/Bournville. Say what you want to happen, express your concerns on traffic issues and excessive supermarket development, and have your say on planning needs in the area. Don’t accept less.
